I'm really angry right now; was really hyped up about dip dyeing my hair (yes I finally decided to do it) and I asked mom to help me check the pricing in JB. Wrong move, jenette.
"What colour are you dyeing? Please don't dye those weird colour. You will give us trouble because you know your grandparents wouldn't approve."
1. I'm old enough to make my own decision.
2. I don't live my life for my grandparents. Yes, I do love and respect them. But I need them to understand me as well.
3. I will give you trouble? How so? You're just worried that they might point it out to you and you don't know how to answer to that.
I am aware that my grandparents are very traditional people. But if you're expecting me to change my decision just because they don't like it, I'm sorry. I'm still gonna do it anyway. They're my grandparents, they shouldn't judge me based on my hair colour. Geez, I'm turning 20 already & MY APPEARANCE DOES NOT REPRESENT MY PERSONALITY. If people are going to judge, they will be judging ME. So in what way do I give YOU trouble in this case?
